Who are we?

There is a special kind of magic that lives in creating shared moments in time. Putting those moments together for people will never grow old. The hours can be crazy and the research can seem endless, but knowing we are creating new experiences for those around us always makes it worth it.

Lithodomos is a global tribe of diverse talents and expertise. We are archaeologists, artists, innovators and storytellers who are fueled by a shared thirst for understanding the world around us and a passion to share our understanding in transformative ways.

Founded in 2016 by archaeologist Dr Simon Young, Lithodomos transforms cultural and natural heritage sites through carefully researched digital stories. Inspired by the adventurer archeologists of the 19th century whose academic rigours and imaginations brought beautiful mysteries back to life, Simon set out to pierce the veil of time and transport us back in time so we can experience legendary places for ourselves.

Many of the ancient world’s most spectacular places are today nothing more than tantalising foundation stones, or rubble scattered across grassy fields, or crumbling away unvisited and unseen. For Lithodomos, they are legends waiting to be discovered.
